PERSPECTIVE

Today I write to you from the Highlands of Scotland while on a family holiday in this beautiful part of the UK. As I admire the scenery here it reminds me of the lyrics of the Hillsong song “Highlands”.

So I will praise You on the mountain

And I will praise You when the mountain's in my way
You're the summit where my feet are
So I will praise You in the valleys all the same”

Singing this song in my car on my way to work is very different from actually being in the Highlands and seeing the “awesome” beauty of this place.

It’s essential that we plan into our lives moments when we get away somewhere different and we change our often frantic pace of life. A change of place + a change of pace = a change of perspective.

As I see the vastness of these mountains my problems don’t seem as great. Remember today that the mountain in your life that seems so huge is a prayer away from being taken down.

REFLECT

“Truly I tell you if you have faith as small as a mustard seed you can say to this mountain ‘Move from here to there and it will move’ Nothing will be impossible for you” Matthew 17 v 20.

Consider today do you need a perspective shift? If yes then when will be your next “change of place” and “change of pace” in order to make this happen.

Have a great day friends, I’m off to have more perspective changes.
